Complete your online courses, which consists of FEMAs, S-190, L-180, & S-130 online components

2. Attend Hands On Training

Those who successfully complete their in-person training will be fully qualified Wildland Firefighters

3. Hit the Fire Line

Join a 20-person Hand Crew and help prevent the spread of wildfires
Roughly 90% of those who complete all required training are offered a position with one of the leading Hand Crew organizations in the country. This company pays for the cost of your training.
Here you can do all your required classroom time/online at your own pace.

The online courses can be completed anytime and on any device. The in-person training will take place over a weekend in Eugene, Oregon.

There are many travel options to Oregon. You are responsible for your travel. You can fly, drive, bus, or carpool to attend your training.
